Above all else though, I'm a dad and a husband — my family is the reason I get to do all this weird stuff.
I work at Kinovox Scandinavia in Denmark where I do Technical training & Support for most of our brands. Kinovox is a distributor of a bunch of different manufacturers. I love my job because I get to geek out with all kinds of gear and basically do what I love
On top of that I also do iOS development. Why? Well, I don't think it gets geekier than that. For the longest time I wanted to learn programming but I couldn't really find the right way in. Back in the good ol' days when Apple released the Swift programming language I thought to my self 'This is it, time to learn programming. I mean, how hard can it really be..?'. Oh my sweet summer child... Anyway, long story short; I had a goal in mind and I went for it.
The first project was MHz. You see in Denmark there's a thing called White Space frequencies for wireless gear (Mics, IEM systems, etc.).
The availability of these white space frequencies vary depending on where in the country you are. Since the danish government had these frequencies listed in a database, which is free to access i just worked from there.
Then I found out that more countries have the same approach with White Space. So I added some more countries and just sort of went from there.

Being a Smaart power user for many years I always wanted to have a tool that would help me measure my systems. For me, the being biggest pain was the lack of mobility.
Sure you can use remote desktop software, but that's not really a solution for me. I'd like to keep it lightweight and portable. What's more portable than the phone you have in you pocket or the iPad, most of us have, or have easy access to, anyways?
So I decided to make an app that would remote control Smaart.
'You must be an idiot', is exactly what I would say to myself now, looking back. I mean, to take on the monumental task of developing and designing an app that would do something like that isn't exactly easy.
But I'm not complaining, i'm just damn proud of the product as it stands today. Sure there's a lot of stuff to be added but it's out there.

'When are the Android versions coming out?'
I don't know how to program for Android, so... Not just yet..
I am a failed musician.
Well, maybe not so dramatic but I grew up playing music in bands and singing in choirs. One day while I was recording a song I caught myself looking over at the recording engineer and wondering what was actually going on. From that moment I knew I was destined to be working in that field. Something audio related.
A truckload (pun intended) of festivals, concerts and corporate gigs later, here I am. My career has evolved in different ways than I could have imagined. For example, I love teaching. Never thought that would happen but whether it be audio or programming related, I have a slight obsession with teaching. More specifically, I'm always trying to find the best way to describe complicated subjects so that everyone understands them. I if succeed, i feel like everyone wins.
I've worked in almost every part of the live music industry. I've been the musician, stagehand, monitor & FOH engineer, backline, stage tech, lighting (Yup, I really said that), and I've even dabbled in tour managing. Got a challenge for me? Hit me up.
