Cookie Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
The short version
This site sets no cookies. Not necessary ones, not statistics, not marketing. Nothing is written to your browser's storage, and nothing is read from it. That's also why you aren't greeted by a consent banner — there is nothing to consent to.
The longer version
Under the Danish Cookie Order and Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, consent is needed before storing information on your device or reading information already there. That covers cookies, but also localStorage, sessionStorage, browser fingerprinting and similar techniques.
None of it happens here:
- No analytics or statistics tools — no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo, nothing counting you.
- No advertising, no tracking pixels, no conversion tags.
- No social media widgets, comment systems, chat boxes, maps or video embeds.
- No third-party fonts or scripts. The fonts and JavaScript this site uses are served from jakthegeeker.com itself, so loading a page doesn't tell anyone else that you visited.
- No login, no session cookie. The contact form protects itself with a hidden field and a signed timestamp that travel with the form in the page — neither is stored on your device.
Things that are not cookies
Your browser will cache the site's images, stylesheets and fonts so pages load faster next time. That's your browser's own doing and it holds no information about you; it isn't a cookie and doesn't require consent. You can clear it from your browser settings whenever you like.
The hosting provider also keeps ordinary server logs of requests, which include your IP address. That's server-side, not something stored on your device — it's covered in the privacy policy instead.
Links to other sites
There are links here to the App Store, GitHub, Instagram, MeasureMateApp.com and HTML5 UP. Once you follow a link you're on someone else's site, under their cookie and privacy practices, not mine. Worth a look at their policies if that matters to you.
If this changes
If I ever add something that does set cookies — statistics, an embed, anything of that sort — it won't load until you've given consent, you'll get a banner that lets you decline just as easily as accept, and this page will be updated to list what's actually set and for how long.
